Paper Selection Guides

Weight Range

  • 111 lb Cover or 300 gsm above: Extra Heavyweight
  • 100 lb Cover or 270 gsm: Heavyweight
  • 80 lb Cover or 216 gsm: Meduim Weight
  • 65 lb Cover or 176 gsm below: Lightweight
  • [Note] Higher weight with thinner paper indicates higher density, more rigid and crisp.

Thickness Range

  • Extra thick: 16+ mil (feel like heavyweight watercolor rags)
  • Thick: 12 to 14 mil (similar to ID badges or illustration boards)
  • Medium: 9-10 mil (close to standard photo paper)
  • Thin: 6-8 mil (close to marker paper or drafting vellum)
  • Thin: 4-5 mil (feel like acetate film or writing paper)
  • [Note] Thickness does not contribute majority of product quality like color and textures did. Consider your inventory space before vending at any venue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my own paper?

Yes, and we recommend ask team Uproar in advance for preliminary research about the print compatibility. We will use some paper for test prints and calibrations, so please bring some extra.

You reverve an appointment and bring it on-site in Oakland, or ship it to us. We will return the rest of the paper after the job is complete.

Do you source any paper by special request?

Yes, and the minimum will be one ream of 13x19 master sheet or 24x40 parent sheet. We will use few sheets for establishing paper profile for calibrations.

There will be no middlemen fee , and we will add custom order to your invoice.

Can I do test print before production?

Yes. We have a minimum order of 3 sheets of 13x19 master sheet for production, but you can send multiple images for the purpose of trial prints.

If you need same image on different papers, please contact us for trial print or request samples.

Do you have print samples?

Yes, we have blank paper sheet or printed sample. Due to the size of our media library, we may not have all the paper samples but we will do our best.
