Canson Infinity ARCHES® Aquarelle Rag 310 gsm

ARCHES Aquarelle Rag is a heavyweight, 100% cotton fine-art inkjet paper based on the celebrated ARCHES watercolor-paper tradition. Its pronounced natural grain and felt-marked surface give reproductions a tactile, handcrafted character while helping preserve the dimensional appearance of brushwork, washes, and layered color.

The proprietary matte inkjet coating supports a broad color gamut, strong Dmax, deep blacks, pure whites, and smooth highlight-to-shadow transitions. Its substantial texture is especially well suited to watercolor, gouache, acrylic, mixed-media, and other artwork in which the surface should remain visually present in the finished print.

ARCHES BFK Rives Pure White combines the soft, supple handling of a traditional mould-made printmaking paper with a modern fine-art inkjet coating. Its gently textured surface is smoother and less pronounced than Aquarelle Rag, allowing fine details to remain sharp while retaining the tactile character of an authentic cotton rag paper.

The pure-white, OBA-free base is particularly effective for colorful artwork, detailed illustration, portraiture, and photography requiring clean highlights and strong color separation. Its balanced grain, deep blacks, and broad tonal range make it a versatile choice for portfolios, exhibition prints, limited editions, and artwork offered for sale.

Canson Infinity ARCHES® 88 310 gsm

ARCHES 88 is the smoothest paper in this collection. Its extra-smooth, pure-white matte surface preserves fine lines, small details, subtle gradients, and delicate tonal transitions without introducing a prominent paper texture. Despite its smooth finish, it maintains the substantial, soft handling associated with a heavyweight mould-made cotton paper.

Its OBA-free base and specialized inkjet coating produce deep blacks, natural whites, high color accuracy, and strong image definition. ARCHES 88 is particularly well suited to detailed illustration, line art, digital artwork, architectural images, photography, printmaking reproductions, and any image where surface texture should not compete with fine detail.
