Digital Fine Art printing FAQ

  • Can I do a test print?

Yes, we adequately charge for small prints and our color management services. We enjoy working closely with artists.

  • What’s “High Chroma” Imaging style?

We add UV reactive fluorescent pink to your print for boosting your color vibrancy. The process partially replaces magenta output with neon pink. Pink can be used as a separate spot color.

  • What is OBA?

Usually added to cheaper paper, because the artificial Optical Brightening Agents (OBA) help paper reach a brighter white point and save manufacturing cost. These chemicals interfere with the color appearance of your art print, and when OBA burns out, your paper turns yellow. Some baryta paper has barium sulfate, which is a natural mineral as OBA.

  • General rules of choosing the right paper?

Color appearance and texture over thickness and weight. Whichever media carries the right color, sell it.
